On November 8, 2024, the Forest Lodge Library Board of Trustees and Director Westlund received a letter of a Vision Statement for the log cabin from the Cable Natural History Museum.
The Forest Lodge Library leases the log cabin from the Cable Natural History Museum currently on a one year lease. Based on the Vision Statement letter from the CNHM, a meeting had been set up with a committee of Forest Lodge Library board members and the library director to meet with a committee from the Cable Natural History Museum to discuss the needs of the log cabin in the future for both entities.
During this meeting, that was held on Tuesday, November 19th, the Cable Natural History Museum requested that the Forest Lodge Library also draft a vision statement of our own for our future needs of the log cabin for use as a library.
The Forest Lodge Library Board of Trustees is pleased to present their Vision Statement. To view this letter, click HERE.
Now that we have presented the Cable Natural History Museum with our Vision Statement, further discussion can continue regarding collaboration on future usage of the log cabin. Public library meetings are open to the public, and when this meeting date and time is arranged, it will be posted at the library, post office and on the library website.
