Here’s a Makerspace event we’ve been wanting to schedule for awhile!!! Area jewelry-designer Mary Covelli will offer this session and teach us elementary jewelry assembly techniques. We’ll learn how to use the basic tools of the trade and those participating get to create a pair of earrings or a zipper pull to take home with them! This Makerspace event is scheduled for Saturday, April 27th at 1:00 at the Cable Community Centre. While registration is not required, we WOULD be happy to know if you plan to come so we can be prepared!
There is no charge to participate, although donations are gratefully accepted! Our budget for the event allows each participant to take home one project. If you’d like to make more than one, we would ask you to make a $10 contribution for the materials.
The library will be purchasing several sets of tools for their collection, which, once we get them cataloged, you’ll be able to check out as a “kit.”
Let us know if you plan to attend by calling 715-798-3189 or emailing cablelibrary@cable.wislib.org…BUT if you forget to let us know PLEASE don’t let that stop you from attending!
Here are samples of what you could make & take!!!
