The Town of Cable has a significant election coming up on April 6. Cable is moving from a 3-person to a 5-person Board. There are 2 candidates running for the position of Town Chairman and 6 candidates running for 4 Sideboard seats.
In “normal” times the library would’ve hosted a Candidate’s Forum to give Cable-area voters an opportunity to hear what the candidates had to say on various local issues. Since the ongoing COVID pandemic made that idea a…non-starter…we came up with this compromise. Library Director Kristine Lendved interviewed each of the candidates and recorded the interviews. We will post links here…and they can also be found, along with candidate biographies, on the Town of Cable website.
Be aware that these interviews were accomplished with the tech that we have and, mostly, from our own homes or workplaces. So…there might be a glitch here and there. In particular, there were a couple of situations where the internet was “iffy” and the screen might freeze up for a moment. In that case…please just advance past that spot…and listen in and on.
We thank all the candidates for participating and hope very much that voters will take the time to listen and inform their voting decisions. Click on a name to get to the recording. Email addresses for the candidates are provided if you should have any follow up questions.
