Beginning on April 20th, the library catalog you access through our website will…look different!
For starters: once called the Merlin Catalog…it is now called the Northern Waters Library Network Catalog. (which, we in the library consortium decided went better with Northern Waters Library Service!) We will be using a different “patron interface”…one that we think you’ll find more intuitive and easier to navigate. YES…your reading history will follow you from the old catalog…once you “opt in.” Another great new feature…you can actually check out an e-book directly from this catalog!
One great thing about this new catalog…it shows you covers of new titles that are actually in our library! As received and cataloged they magically upload and, what’s more, clicking on a book cover will supply review information about the book and offer you a “place hold” button. Nice feature!
