If you haven’t GOT Libby you should GET LIBBY! Libby is a wonderful resource. Free to you with your library card!
Download the LIBBY app to your device. Free from your app store.
Open the app and follow the prompts. Submit your name and library card # and be sure to choose your library/library system. (Forest Lodge Library, Cable or Northern Waters Library Service) Start searching for titles you’d like to check out and enjoy!!! You will be prompted to choose your check-out period when you choose BORROW. (7, 14 or 21 days.) You can return a title ahead of a due date but you don’t have to worry about returning a title on time. Libby will recover it from your shelf.
Libby offers you access to 86K book titles, 32K audiobook titles and 4K magazines in so many subjects it will boggle the mind! There are filters you can apply to narrow your search by language, author, title or availability. You can put items on hold or “shop” the Lucky Day collection, high traffic titles that, if you’re lucky, will be available right now. You’ll never run out of things to read or listen to!
You may use or may have used the Overdrive App. Libby is owned by Overdrive and they feel that Libby offers the best reading experience for all users. As of February of 2022 you’ll no longer be able to download the Overdrive app from play/app stores. Existing Overdrive users will be able to continue to use the app for only a short while longer. Overdrive service will sunset on May 1, 2023. Another reason to GET LIBBY!
