On September 13, 2023, the Forest Lodge Library Board of Trustees approved the following statement in support of Intellectual Freedom.
The Forest Lodge Library supports Intellectual Freedom, the right of every library user to read what they choose, seek information on subjects they choose and to speak freely; all guaranteed by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Intellectual Freedom is an integral component of a democratic society. This public library will protect and defend these rights and will work to connect its patrons to information sources with integrity and balance.
