Forest Lodge Library Statement on Library Operations during Covid-19 Pandemic
The Forest Lodge Library will be closed for regular operations beginning Thursday, 3/19/2020 and until further notice. At present we will hope to re-open on Monday, April the 6th, but that will depend on the progress of the pandemic and the recommendations of the CDC and Federal, State and Local governments. The health and safety of our patrons and staff is our priority.
So you know: the WI FI stays ON!!!
In compliance with Governor Ever’s SAFER AT HOME order, we must discontinue our foyer pick up program. Sorry about that! Our digital library is still open! Please check the MEET LIBBY posting on this website and, if you need some help figuring it out, give us a call at 715-798-3189 and PLEASE leave a message if no one answers. We’ll arrange to have one of our staff members call you back and walk you through a digital download!
We’ll also do what we can to keep the Little Free Libraries located at the Town of Cable and Town of Namakagon Community Centers fully stocked.
If you have items currently checked out do NOT worry about the due date!!! All due dates will be extended indefinitely, so, if you get a message about an item coming due…feel welcome to ignore it! You may still return items through the slot in the front door if you wish, but, you do not need to do so.
We’re still available to offer reader’s or viewer’s advisory! Call us and leave a message if no one answers: 715-798-3189. Someone will get back to you. (after 3/24 our own access to the building will be limited.) You can also email us at cablelibrary@cable.wislib.org or klendved@cable.wislib.org,
The Forest Lodge Library DOES have many digital resources available to you for free on our website. Or Badgerlink! www.forestlodgelibrary.org. If you need some help accessing these resources, give us a call! 715-798-3189.
These are difficult times for our nation and for the entire world. Let’s work together to minimize the number of people who contract the virus by minimizing the spread of the virus. Wash your hands! Often! Don’t touch your face! If you cough, let it be into your elbow. STAY HOME. When conducting essential errands like grocery shopping keep six feet of social distance, please. STAY WELL!
