KANOPY, the streaming service we are happy to share with our patrons, is changing! Beginning November 1, KANOPY users will use tickets instead of credits to manage their use. The very first thing you should do, the next time you log in, is to read the article you’ll be directed to, HOW TICKETS WORK. That will, hopefully, answer any questions you may have. We’ll be happy to try, but, be aware that this is new to all of us! Although we’ve had a little advance notice about the change, we did not have an opportunity to experience the site with tickets…until November 1!
For starters, each patron account will have 15 tickets per month. Tickets renew on the first of each month and unused tickets do not roll over. DO be aware that KANOPY KIDS doesn’t use tickets. You’ll have unlimited access to those.
You can see your remaining tickets for the month in the top-right corner of the homepage.
As you browse for titles, you’ll see the number of tickets required to watch each title and how long you have to watch it.
For episodic titles, like TV series and The Great Courses, you’ll also see what content the tickets unlock (e.g., “Season 1” or “all”).
