We most of us probably have a fair idea of what a rescue dog…or cat is. We see their photos and consider their adoption requests. But…what if you’re a rescue SNAKE?
Nature’s Niche LLC is an animal rescue established in 1999 to fill the need after a central Wisconsin wildlife center closed in Stevens Point. They assist law enforcement and humane societies and wildlife rehabilitation centers with the capture transport and care for exotic species. Their goal is to return native species to their natural environment if possible. Those who cannot placed become their Creature Teachers and are used to educate others about their situations and about the plights their species face in their native countries. THESE are the animals you will meet and learn about on Thursday, 6/22 at 2 in the afternoon.
The program will be held in the yard behind the Book House unless the weather is uncooperative, in which case it will be held at the Cable Community Centre.
We encourage you to bring a chair or blanket to sit on…and your sense of amazement for what you’re likely to learn!
